Description Michael Tremer 2026-10-20 10:51:47 UTC
The database of AFRINIC (afrinic.db.gz) also has the route objects of its IRR, of which 245 refer to a Geofeed, like the inetnum objects do. location-importer only reads aut-num, inetnum, inet6num and organisation objects from it, so that those Geofeeds are not being found.

The route objects of ARIN's IRR are already being read for their Geofeeds (#14501).

importer: Import the Geofeeds of route objects in all databases of the RIRs

The database of AFRINIC also has the route objects of its IRR, many of
which refer to a Geofeed. They are now being read like those of the IRR
of ARIN, and so would those of any other database.

With the data of AFRINIC of 2026-10-19, this finds 151 more networks
with 12 more Geofeeds, and none less.

Fixes: #14505 - Geofeeds of route objects in the databases of the RIRs are not being imported

Comment 2 Michael Tremer 2026-10-20 10:53:42 UTC
This has been implemented in the master branch of libloc (84defc8). With the data of AFRINIC of 2026-10-19, 151 more networks with 12 more Geofeeds are being found, and none less. JPNIC's IRR has no route objects with a Geofeed at the moment.

This will be in the database once the importer with this change has been running.

This has been fixed in libloc 0.9.20, which has just been tagged. Closing this as fixed.
