Some ipblocklists, such as Feodo Recommended are still updated but not so frequently and so can end up having periods when they are empty. This empty status flags up as an unexpected error when trying to download the empty list. The following message is shown in the logs if the list is empty. Could not update FEODO_RECOMMENDED blocklist - Unexpected error! This was discussed in the November 2024 IPFire conf call. https://www.ipfire.org/docs/devel/telco/2024-11-04#feodo-tracker-ip-block-lists
@Stefan: This has been raised again on today's call: > https://www.ipfire.org/docs/devel/telco/2025-05-12 Will you be able to look at this soon?
patch has been submitted by @Stefan https://lists.ipfire.org/development/20250524081436.7395-1-stefan.schantl@ipfire.org/T/#u It has been merged into next for CU196 https://git.ipfire.org/?p=ipfire-2.x.git;a=commit;h=476277d0febf510489c314bc950f91ec6efb717b

Tested this out on my vm testbed. I confirmed with another system that the Feodo list was empty and also by testing download of the list. I then selected the Feodo list and it was successfully accepted with zero entries. This verifies that the fix is working.
