Which CU are you finding this on as a problem with special characters for any language using them was already fixed in CU203. https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13996 I selected the French language in CU203 and the following two attachments show the same WUI places as the bug reporter presented. These show no incorrect French characters being displayed.
