Something in the kernel used in CU 186 has broken the AX88179 USB LAN adapter.
The AX88179 USB LAN adapter was / is working fine with CU 185.

Tested with  IPFire 2.29 (x86_64) - Core-Update 186 Development Build: master/03de90cc  -- and it is still broken

6.5.13 is also OK.
6.6.21 fails.
For completeness, 6.8.1 also fails.

And the best bit is that there appear to be no direct changes to the AX88179 driver in 6.6, so it's looking to be a framework change with unintended consequences

There have been quite a few commits for ax88179_178a.c over the past 8 months.
Something somewhere along the way, after whatever is in our 6.6.15, seems to have broken this part.  Not sure if any of the recent commits have it fixed ... but it is not fixed in our 6.6.32 kernel
