Hi,

the root login is not possible in Ipfire 3, there are some problems with pam, but I did not further investigation.

The new openssh version which is linked against the new pam version solve this problem.

With the old openssh version no logins are possible

Would mark this as duplicate but I cannot find a bug report for the openssh bug.
