I had a site down and connected Red to my iPhone via "Personal Hotspot" as a temporary workaround. This would not work properly until I changed the name of the iPhone to remove the "'" from the name, which also removes the "'" from the SSID. Once the apostrophe was removed from the SSID, IPFire was able to successfully connect. You can see at least a portion of this problem if you:

1.) Enter an SSID with an apostrophe in it, such as "Bill Jones' iPhone".
2.) Edit that entry. You will see that the form only has "Bill Jones" in the SSID field.

Normally, I would just suggest that users not use an apostrophe, but this is standard practice for the iPhone, and presumably it is also OK according to the RFCs. Furthermore, the IPFire user may not control the wireless access point, and therefore may not be able to make such a change. Seeing as this is bound to bite another user sooner or later, I thought I would file a bug.
